Most of the time the “band”, particularly when home demos are concerned, consists solely of me. However, when studio recording and the likes are the order of the day I’m indebted to the following, in alphabetical order for egos are at stake, for their time and talent: Ian Anderson (flute), Norm Jones (congas, percussion, drums), Eric Stephen Lambier (piano, celeste), Lisa Lambier (2nd vocal), Jon Lepage (cello), Alex Paris (upright bass). Lyrics
Where The Blues Is Played I went strolling in the rain made my way to where the blues was plain when there I knew I’d remain Stepped in to warm my bones barefoot on cobblestones all should have known this was home Chorus: No need to worry ‘cause I’ve stayed where the blues is played Monday’s paper spoke no truth contained only left-side views so I shall stay here with the blues Feeling parched so bemused to one and all that’s such good news for I’ve payed all my dues Chorus So don’t come trying to take me back here I stand as a matter of fact there’s room for you let go of your slack Debutantes, dolls in rags all are welcome even slags c’mon over leave your charade Chorus No need to worry ‘cause I’m staying where the blues is playing Words/Music C Scott Trimble
