RAMbunctious (My Blues are Black)
A bit o' power blues.
I re-mastered this and have added it to my new Statue Records CD "6 Pound Bone".
Story behind the song
I like what Robin Trower and Pat Travers have done with some blues tunes, and thought I'd have a go at it. I also have been wanting to try singing again.
Lyrics
RAMbunctions (My Blues are Black)
Upside down and inside out
Like a twister just a turnin' about
Things are spinnin'
And all tossed around
An old dog chasin' his own tail
Chorus
I got the blues so bad
I got the blues so bad
I got the blues so bad
I got the blues so bad
My blues are black
A bottle o' whiskey for my best friend
A little relief poured inside my head
Maduro cigar and a bottle o' gin
Don't add no mixer, it'd be too thin
Feel the liquer soakin' up my pain
My eighty proof pal rescues me again
Pour another, I can't go wrong
The day's just startin', they're always so long
Chorus
I just wanna fish or play my guitar
Get away fast, speedin' in my car
Go to someplace I ain't been before
Leave myself headin' out the door
Get a big catch o' somethin' new
Never look back, keep one step ahead
Rack up some miles between me and then
Chorus
