Well let's see. I have been playing acoustic guitar for 12 years, or playing "at" it. You decide. Been singing since I learned how to talk. Just finished competing in WCOPA 2010 in LA and it was so neat playing worship songs with other countries and Trinidad! Shout to Jessie and the others in Trinidad- you guys are awesome!

Story behind the song
I was Gomer. I had been spiritually unfaithful, looking for romance behind every door. When I was 30, I bought a plated silver ring and began to wear it like a wedding band, kind of married to God. But I still kept hoping for a romantic entanglement of some kind, never content with just Jesus. This song is kind of saying goodbye to all of that and finally just surrendering to Jesus as my "first love", and like an errant spouse that slipped off their ring for a time of infidelity, I slipped the ring back on and returned to my husband. You just have to read Hosea, and you will get this.
