Story behind the song
The idea for this song came to me, when I was listening to The Jesus And Mary Chain album entitled Darklands. The song Cherry Came Too hit me straight away and I thought the lyrics were very clever. The lyrics are "Cherry takes me to the place above, with barbed wire kisses and her love" but I thought he was saying "Bob Watkins" instead of "barbed wire kisses", and my initial reaction was that they were making up this cool person (sort of like a better version of Sgt. Pepper) but then I checked the lyrics and realised I should get my hearing checked..........Anyway, I know it sounds dreadfully awkward, but I just wrote my own song about "Bob Watkins". I suppose I subconsciously came up with the idea, but my inspiration was definitly from J.A.M.C........Hope you like it, anyway it made more sense that my name could also be Bob. But please don't ever call me that. rob
