Peter Hutton (Myself) and William Pilling tried as a band at first but just progressed into a duo. Both of us sing and both of us play guitar. I've been writing music since I was fifteen and rather than looking for a perfect sound or a perfect look within music, I take myself to a different place, a different dimension if you will where i'm effected only by spirits and energies that run through me. Will is a fantastic vocalist and musician who has fast become a valued friend of mine and have also steered him from seeing music in a genre-ised fashion and in doing so he thanks me for helping him see music as a language and a life force rather than something you listen to because its expected of you.

Story behind the song

Behind the original.

Anthony Kiedis (during his younger years) was a self proclaimed 'hardcore junkie'. After kicking the habit he was driving home from a practice with the peppers and a sudden feeling of emptiness and lonliness came over him and he decided to start singing and these were the lyrics that came over him. The 'Under the bridge' chorus at the end refers to a particular moment as a junkie when he and an ex-member of the mexican mafia, called 'mario', went out to score some drugs and the particular hang out was under a bridge. Anthony said that its probably the lowest place he's ever sunk to.

Behind my version.

Even though I can never relate to these lyrics, I can relate to the emotions and feelings of lonliness that is portrayed through not just the singing but the music too. I've always wanted to cover this song and in an evening of creativness I ended up recording it. It lacks the drums, which I am disappointed about, but I can only do so much in an evening.
