Story behind the song
This song is dedicated to all the many females that i have known that were unable to make thier own choices and they measure success on what they see in videos, movies, and whatever thier so called friends and family say. (basically for the women who can not think for themselves independently)
Lyrics
She was so pretty but also lost,
in the big city where so much costs,
trapped inside a prison with no way out,
screaming but no one can hear her shout.
Let me tell you the story of a shorty named Gloria.
she came from Queens somewhere around in Astoria,
ever since birth people knew she was worth,
more than anything that can be found on the earth.
her mother made her suffer cause she never knew her father,
like somebody loved her but just didn't want to bother.
her world consisted of ordinary losers,
so everywhere she went they used her and abused her.
she could only stay whenever it was conveient,
with people that would pay to get a taste of her sweetness
searching for love but that wasn't an option,
so after pregnancy her baby went for adoption.
depression was settling in
sleeping with hundreds of men,
and everyday the nightmare happened over again.
she was more sour than grapes,
bitter because of the rape,
thinking suicide may be her only escape.
she had no job, no money, no motivation.
but she didn't understand because she had low education.
hurting herself for what she did to her children,
contemplating whether she should jump off the building.
she kept a nervous giggle,
going in and out of hospitals,
life is never simple,
sometimes even impossible.
like she was a genie trapped inside a bottle.
cause she missed her opportunity to be a fashion model.
her dream faded away and it was never return.
so realisticaly you only get what you earn,
she learned misery and suffering and didn't have enough within,
herself to understand that anybody can come again,
instead she fell like humpty dumpty broken into pieces,
because she gave up on herself for unneccessary reasons.
now she's homeless living in a shopping cart,
popping dope in a box in a parking lot.
missing all her front teeth and her face had grime,
and everybody thought she was a waste of time.
nobody recognized her she looked like a different person,
and each and every day her situation always worsend
people paid to be with her but now they won't come near her,
so she cries everytime that she looks into a mirror.
image's different from the one she used to see,
the only thing that she had positive was HIV.
