Mainly inspired by the punk rock of the 90’s, Next Friday starts in September 2003 as a three piece band. After a year of hard work and a new line up (quintet), their melodic hardcore became well appreciated especially on stage where they develop intense yet personal music with sharp guitars and live vocals. They had the great opportunity to play with bands such as Fabulous Disaster, Antillectual, Loisirs, Myra Lee, Hogwash, Nothing New, Funeral Dinner just to name a couple. Coming from Clermont-Ferrand, they released in January 2005 their first demo, 6 punk rock songs, 100% DIY from the artwork from the whole process of assembling and diffusion, with lyrics dealing with diversified subjects such as injustice, racism, truth or economical problem. “Time’s up” was well received by the specialized fanzines/webzines.
