About LOVE....
Original Music: Indie Rock, Alternative Rock,
The Perfect Defectives are in a new incarnation again as The Jan Mayes Band. Gene Mayes who played mandolin, THEREMIN and Guitar, has left the band and is doing the college thing. While Phil and Jan do miss Gene they are excited to now have back one of their original members, Mike Cuthbertson who plays lead. Mike has some original songs added to the set list in addition to Jans many originals. AND NOW they have a new drummer, Frank McPhillips. Frank is an excellant drummer helping the band to new heights as well as adding a great bottom end sound. On stage Jan plays either of her electric or acoustic guitars while singing the bands songs. Phil McGreevy is still holding down the bottom end on Bass. Previously the group played in local clubs in the hampton roads area of Virginia for a couple years with more than 50% of their songs ORIGINAL [and well received] not easy to get away with in clubs. Now they are ready to do it again with Frank and Mike now added to the mix. SEE: The Jan Mayes Band at: http://www.soundclick.com/thejanmayesband

Story behind the song
It's about LOVE, the story is in the song...
Lyrics
Midnight Blue copyright 2005 Breath to breath, Chest to chest, Two hearts beating As though they were one, When day is done, When day is done Your satin touch, is warm enough Midnight blue And velvet smooth When day is done, When day is done. Yeah, breath to breath, and chest to chest two hearts beating, As though they’re one, When day is done, When day is done. Exploding colors, the moment lingers on and on, velvet smooth my midnight blue, on and on When day is done, when day is done.
