Lyrics
Billie was the girl with the golden hair She was a preachers daughter born to run and holler and raise some hell. Buster was a no count gamblin' man who had always lost showing his best hand but he could tell a tale. Billie first met Buster at the county fair. He was a pitchin' pennies turned around and he found her standin' there. Well they stold a car and headed westward bound just to get away from that bone dry border town. They pledged their love 'neath the desert sun and they swore that no one else would come betwee them. But Billie's dad he had other plans. He would kill the man who had taken her away. Buster found a job it was an honest one. For the first time ever in his life he wanted to raise a son. Billie lived just to please her man so in late December baby came a planned. New life had begun. verything seemed to go their way but their ran out and the sky turned gray. Pappa came to town. Kickin' down the door in the dead of night Buster tried to tell him that he would not fight but he shot'em down. Lyin' in the floor in a pool of blood Billie screamin' out Oh, Buster please don't die. Buster knowin' that his time was up simply closed his eyes and said "Billie goodbye." Buster was buried on a hillside grave near a movie star is where his body lays. Billie cries and cries. Years have now gone and the son's a man and he walks the night with an evil plan just to set things right.Billie was the girl with the golden hair She was a preachers daughter born to run and holler and raise some hell. Buster was a no count gamblin' man who had always lost showing his best hand but he could tell a tale. He could tell a tale Buster and Billie. He could tell a tale Buster and Billie. He could tell a tale Buster and Billie.
