Story behind the song
You'd really have to ask Bill. He's an incredible word smith and a good friend, and I intend to post his singing and playing in a later update of this song, but I noted the challenged version I posted earlier had enough source errors that I just scrapped his contriubtions for this somewhat more perfect yet somewhat less passionate delivery. We'll get it together. IN an era of Brokeback Cowboys, the idea of a jailhouse love song to Pedro, the protagonists's jail house protector seemed like it's spot on- pop culture-wise.
