Acoustic, harmonies, chilled out, relationships.
A combination of Tom Nash from 'A Nash Odyssey' and Ashley Morton from 'Accolade Sky', Nashley is a 'supergroup', if you will. If you won't, we're an 'awesomegroup'. Nah, just yanking your chain. We play acoustic guitar and singing harmonies. Or attempt to, at least.

Story behind the song
The whole song is essentially a rather crude metaphor about childhood dreams. The submarine thing never happened, but I remember once drawing a ‘diagram’ of how I’d create a time machine. It was essentially a picture of a box with flashing lights and a big, red button, with an arrow pointing to it saying ‘time change button’, or something similar. My dad took it and said, ‘yes, but how does it work?’ I didn’t understand really, and got red in the face arguing that I’d explained it - you press the button. That was such a simplistic view of dreams and how the world works, and the difference between that simplistic state of mind and real, older life is the subject of the song. The piece of string is necessary to keep the dream on a handle, at arm’s length, so that you can keep your feet grounded in reality. Otherwise, you can either abandon your dream and let it go, or be drowned along with it.
Lyrics
Woah When I was young I used to take my weekly bath And I would lie in the warm water and feel that something was missing So I put on my thinking cap and in the soapy suds I realised that all I wanted was a submarine So I rolled up my sleeves and went and watched tv, and Blue Peter showed how to make one out of pots and string Next week I sat in the bath and sang a happy tune ‘cause I was master & commander of everything Woah, woah Submarine Woah, woah Submarine So I grew a little bit older, bigger too, Went to the sea and anchored there was the submarine of my dreams So I jumped on top and I sang the happy tune that I remembered from my bath time days when I was a bit younger But I was overwhelmed as it went under the waves, I lost control and had to set out swimming for the shore Now I always remember when I’m starting a new dream to leave a long piece of string for me to hold onto. Woah, woah Submarine (I need my piece of string I’m losing control) Woah woah, Submarine (I need my piece of string I’m losing control)
