An old, old recording I found from a few years ago.
We're Greg and Y. We've just been jamming a lot lately, and this is the stuff we've come up with.
Story behind the song
This is one of the first songs I wrote on the guitar. It's an oldy but a good. I was just rummaging through old recordings and found it, so I thought I'd upload it. WORD
Lyrics
Wastin' time, not an urge about to move me
'Cause I'm happy here just staring at you, girl
In all my life I've caught a glimpse or two of vibrance
But I think that I caught it deepest in your eyes
And I forgot to set my creed
But I went and called the angels
Who came down and came sung it at your feet
Chorus:
And you're all I feel right now
Just a photo, a smile, and a face in the crowd
And I'm sayin' "Hey, hey babe. It's only one life,
And you're just the core that I've been swimming towards."
Every nerve you've struck is fearful of its ending,
Because they're hoping that this passion is everlasting,
Accentuate the fine lines, and embellish all the rest,
Because it's just enough to keep my head in check
And you're fogging up my mind,
And you're making me kind of giddy
From that look you gave from that turn across your shoulder
(Chorus)
And I hope that I'll never say,
That I wish I had seized the day,
'Cause you know you can only run as long as you find a place where you can't find yourself,
But I know,
But I've heard,
And I hope that opportunity knocks more than once...
(Chorus)
