Story behind the song
It was heavily influenced by Sigur Ros. I love how they can find a simple but beautiful melody and just keep someone entertained by it for well over 6 minutes, and though it itsn't six minutes long...this was my attempt at creating that kind of song. It also has a somewhat symbolic message to it...as there are no real lyrics to explain what the song is about. It's essentially a song that represents a moment in time...contact with another human being that you feel very strongly about. I tried to make the melody as pretty as I could, while still retaining a rather haunting feel...to represent the fear and mix of emotions that you feel in such a situation. Anyways...this was the result of listening to way too much Sigur Ros (if possible) and frankly just hating my voice so much that I didn't want to have to sing. Although I have to say...I'm proud of myself for hitting that high note ;-).
