I have been mixing sounds for about a year and a half now. Though, I am still not very good, I admit... However, I am here to share something that I love and perhaps maybe take your ears and your mind on a journey to someplace they've never been. I am also on MySpace Music. Feel free to add me! http://www.myspace.com/transcendentalmusic

Story behind the song
When I first started writing this song, I had no idea what the premise was going to be. It turned in to an eight and a half minute piece. *laughs* The concept of Arabia has always fascinated me... so I thought of what would constitute the essence of Arabia. Of course you have to have a riff that sounds like the stereotypical Arabian style. However, I chose to put a spin on things... I wanted it to sound really mysterious, so the beginning has eerie synth spheres and swells... The bells/glockenspiels/tubular bells/rotary vibraphone all play a variation of the Arabian there all throughout the song, and is subtle in the first part. However, it is extremely noticable in the second part. The mysteriousness continues until a part where everything stops... and a piano is introduced in a house-like fashion. From this, I envisioned George Duke and Billy Cobham, and with a style that I preferred... continued on writing it out. You'll notice a siginificant increase in tempo in one spot as well... I love this part. I really enjoy the chords and the percussion in this spot. At one point, the rotary vibes perform the solo with a subtle softness. Then the glockenspiel returns with the "space-like bell" sound... then, the song has to be continued on to Part II... because I ran out of song space for SoundClick. *laughs* Oh well what can you do? :) See you at Part II!
