Story behind the song
made this song for one of my sociology classes. It's about about life in this world of competition and institutionalized racism (also about how people are forced to feel this feeling of what we call "double consciousness"). The lyrics came to me as I drove home from school on a friday night. This was my funny way of saying that, from a certain point of view, we look like little kids playing games (this has been visible throughout history). .......... In other words I'm trying to say that "The only thing we learn from history is that we never learn from history" (quote from a smart teacher at Res.) and that "society was meant to fail". Tell me what you guys think. It makes me smile to hear that my rhymes made YOU smile(I'd like to hear criticism as well). -Stan
