Acoustic songs about love, life, and funny stuff like almost dying. Gotta laugh, don't do no good to cry...
I'm just a guy who has spent the last too many years trying to make a living. My music has been a hobby. I write songs about things that happen to me, or have happened to me, and try to keep things simple.

Story behind the song
This song is entirely biographical, and no names were changed to protect anybody--my kids hate it.
Lyrics
NOW THAT I’M SOBER Copyright 2004 Edward E. Null Doctor told me “Boy, you’d better give up on the booze Or your life--I swear to God--you’re surely gonna lose. If rockclimbin’, fights, and wrecks and jealous husbands never could, I don’t see why a couple friendly beers ever would. I’ve thought about it long and hard, and to be perfectly frank, Now That I’m Sober, I remember why I drank. Years ago I popped the top on a world that’d gone insane. Now I look around and find that nothin’s really changed. And all those crazy things I did they said were such a sin-- If I had a liver left , I’d do ‘em all again! I don’t recall the Eighties, but the Nineties really stunk. Now That I’m Sober, I can see why I stayed drunk. Now and then a flashback comes to brighten up my day, But it’s only momentary, then it goes away. The nightmares that I have today, they really aren’t that great When you compare them to the lovely scenes that I’d hallucinate. Instead of Cindy Crawford on a beach in a sarong, I’m in some damned gay biker bar wearin’ just a thong! I wake up in a cold sweat, and you can take that to the bank. Now That I’m Sober, I remember why I drank. I’m bored, depressed, and sober, and I remember why I drank Edward E. Null
