Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my Soundclick page. This is my 15 minutes, Warhol was right! I have signed up to Routenote in order to get my songs onto Spotify and Itunes. I've cherry-picked my favourite songs and made them into a compliation called "Recorded Music (home & away)". These pages will be going live in the next four to six weeks. I was going to delete my Soundclick page but thought I'd leave these few songs that haven't made the compilation on here. Including cover versions and songs I'm not quite so happy with these days. I will provide links as soon as they become available.

Story behind the song
This is what happens when you sit and watch Alison Krauss on DVD twice in a row (with the surround sound system on, no less). I was so inspired that I sat in the music room/kitchen and this song just fell out of me. It was recorded in the kitchen and I'm doing all the singing.

On this track the instruments are

Gibson J50 Acoustic guitar (a 1974 model, very beat up but lovely).

Double Bass.

Antoria 5-string banjo.

Aria mandolin.

Dobro.

All the tracks on this album feature 'one take ' recordings as I was trying to make them sound as live as possible. There are no drop ins to fix wobbly notes, I just left the wobbly notes as they were. Also there's no drums or drum machine. I couldn't play drums in that apartment and programming drum machines bores me rigid, all of which fitted in with the 'string band' feel I was trying to achieve..
