Heavy-handed acoustic guitar rock, with shades of John Hiatt-esque vocals (I've been told).
Hullo Folks, Just beginning to cobble this page together, so bear with me. Being a lyric-lover, I attempt to put as much thought into that portion of tunage as musical arrangements. Judge for yourself if that is successful or not. ;o) I think you'll find most of my songs to be of an "Americana" type in general flow. I do like songs with forward momentum, but an occasional ballad will sneak in from time to time. Working on album #2 (Strange Spaces) in slow stages, but we'll get there! Mo' later...

Story behind the song
This is from an album that we put together in 2000 where we all played on each others' material. A lot of good tunes, coupled with some fine talent. Personnel: Algie Powers: Lead and backing vocal; 1st guitar Ozone Pete: 2nd guitar Bill Morse: Keys Jim Walsh: Congas and shaker Gene LaVoie: Bass To me, Algie's voice strikes an emotional chord that is quite simply, very rare. Unique and emotive; from a place of beauty and pain.
Lyrics
Footprints I led you by the hand; Followed my footprints in the sand; You always did what I asked you to do, You were my perfect little man. But now your world has grown so, It’s almost more than you can bear; You left my footprints behind you… …Somewhere I watched you start to care, I watched you as you combed your hair; I can’t believe all that happens to you; You say, “It’s just not fair”. Was it something I did… To make you think I didn’t care? You left my footprints behind you… …Somewhere Where are you going? When will you know? Cold winds are blowing, And I can’t keep you warm…anymore… I’ll have to let you go; You’ll have to do this on your own; I wish I was sure that’s the way it should be; Can’t save you any more… You know I’ll always be here, I’ll try to understand; I’ll follow your footprints to find you… …Somewhere…
