A ministry was born. THE YEAR 2003, THE PLACE, Praise Fellowship Assemblies of God Church. A few young adults decided to use their God given talent to influence the young people that looked up to them. What started out as a simple way to get kids involved in worship service quickly evolved into an all out attack on the devil. After a few performances this group of hip hop ministers realized that God had a higher assignment for them, to reach the world. Knowing the call placed on their lives, the group took the name, Believers on a Mission or The B.O.M. Squad. So armed with the Word of God, and some incredible beatz from Drew Edwards of So Sick Productions, this dangerous collective of hip hop missionaries began recording with veteran producer/songwriter Min. Clearance Hooks. Jr. After almost a year of learning, rehearsing and recording with Min Hooks, The Squad began working with his student, Min. Milton Keys, founder of Consuming Fire Records. Finally, after almost two years of work the group released their debut EP, “The Calm Before the Storm.” This incredible album is jam packed with uplifting verses and memorable hooks. As the title implies, this is only the beginning for The Squad as they set out to change Hip Hop Culture. The best is yet to come
