Down South Rap, Baltimore Club, Hip Hop
Da Horsemen is one of High Rolla Records / Pimphouse Music's most popular acts. Their dance routines have been imitated all across Maryland. Horsemen songs can be heard on radio and in the clubs. Even though the group was formed to be background dancers for label mate Big Ria; Da Horsemen soon became an attraction of their own, building a loyal fan base. Originally a 4-man crew, the group always "rolled deep" in the club and later became Da Horsemen. Known throughout their native Baltimore for incredibly live performances, Da Horsemen rocked the stage at some of the cities biggest events and venues (Afram, The Convention Center, Hammerjacks, and the Paradox.)
The group's first single, "We Boyz" was a big club music hit, landing regular spins in mix shows throughout the area. "We Bout It" and "Run 4 It" were some of Da Horsemen's other hit records. Members Big L & Porkchop are currently hosts on 92Q Jams (WERQ), the # 1 station in Baltimore. The group is currently in the studio recording their new album HWO RELOADED (in stores June 12th) “Jelly Roll” is the album’ first single and was produced by the Baltimore beat maker Black Star. Look for the Horsemen to hit the road hard this year.
