This tune is part of a vocal series. In this tune it was the rhythm of the vox's that attracted me.

Story behind the song
News, news, news, everywhere you turn it's on and usually telling you something has happened when they don't even know what... I don't usually involve politics with my music - but... I was sitting on this tune and debating ever posting it. I was glancing at the Yahoo news and read where our President (Bush) had made a wise comment that America is addicted to Oil... and then quoted something smart like we had to ween ourselves off it. My head was spinning. It struck me this tune wouldn't fit better into the times than now. When we as a nation have no vision, no future, and everyone is trying to get by - except the Airline executives that got million dollar bonuses - after convencing everyone else to work for less. The oil companies who cried poor - and turned record profits for that very quarter. People who have to decide between a bag of groceries and paying the utilities. Investigations that lead to no where and no justice. No leadership, no future - no vision, no direction. Music without a beat or notes is not Music - it's noise. Where are our alternatives? Does anyone remember those inventions people were written up for in magazines like Popular Mechanics and Popular Electronics in the 70's. They had built cars to run on 9 volt batteries or invented battery that could revolutionize the industry. Cars that ran on water and other ideas that disappeared into obscurity. I have this scene in my head much like the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where the ark was shipped to an endless warehouse - lost for another eternity
