Contemporary Praise and Worship
I started writing music in 1998. I started with congregational praise and worship music, but recently have been writing and arranging what I affectionately call "Neo-Classical Folk." Have a listen to see what I mean.

Story behind the song
I have been wanting to write a contemporary hymn for some time. My weakness with lyrics makes this particular style of "church" music difficult for me to write. Some time ago a dear lady in our church approached me with some lyrics that she had written, and sure enough, one of the sets of lyrics was well suited for a hymn style.
Lyrics
Verse 1 By His stripes we're healed, By His blood we're cleansed By His dying we'll live again, With His love He'll lead us home Oh, the pain He bore for us, How He suffered on the cross Just so we could have a hope to live eternally with Him Verse 2 By His stripes we're healed, by His side we'll walk At His feet we'll kneel and pray And praise His name forevermore Oh, the peace will be within us, Oh, how happy we shall be In the presence of our Savior; Oh, what joy forevermore Verse 3 By His stripes we’re healed, with His hands we’re blessed With His grace we’ll soon be home And walk the streets as pure as gold Oh, how great all this will be, oh, the beauty we will see Dwelling with our dear Lord Jesus Singing His praise before His throne Verse 4 By His stripes we're healed, by His pardon saved With His tenderness He loves us, with His mercy we're set free Can't you hear our Master calling? Can't you see Him on His way? Waiting just to take His children home Yes to take his children home
