Gypsy Woman © 1975 Clint Anglin Gypsy Woman - Riding on the moon, Caring for the sandy tide, Humming to a windy tune. Gypsy Woman – Looking for a happy place, Where the land is whole And all the people walk in peace. Meditating in the garden With the corn and the beans; Nobody you have to speak to – For words you have no need. Rising with the sun To bake sweet bread For the belly of this skinny man; Making poems for his head. Misty Woman – the mountains are rising To fold with the sky; The night is filled with crickets, The wind is filled with sighs. So, come let’s walk by the pond – Moon and dragonfly. “Never, no no, we’re never never lost,” The wild geese cry. (Repeat 2x) Gypsy woman come singing through the trees – Ay yiee yiee yiee yiee yi Lo lo lo lo lo lo. Gypsy woman bringing cakes and cheese Ay yiee yiee yiee yiee yi Lo lo lo lo lo lo. (repeat several times to end).
