Gary's original music is a virtual cornucopia of compositional stylings. Adult Contemporary jazz-pop- folk-rock...with lyrical twists.
WHO IS GARY BIGELOW ? A life long resident of Fall River Massachusetts, Gary has been an active participant in the Southeastern Massachusetts Performing Arts Community for well over 30 years. Gary's Closet is actually more like a steamer trunk filled with his original music which evoke strong and stirring philosophical - analytical and emotional memories. This virtual cornucopia of compositional stylings, combine to tell the story of this true "Renaissance Man"

Story behind the song
A tribute to my dad..
Lyrics
A FATHER LIKE YOU- c 2005 Gary Bigelow When I was a child, people would ask me What I'd like to be when I grow to be a man ? Back then it was easy I gave them my answer, I spoke in all honesty.. said "I'm gonna be a fireman" When I was a teen and so indistructable. There was no kind of trouble I couldn't escape. Had all the answers to all of life's questions "Gonna rule this planet " , I said, "just you wait" My oh, my how priorities do change From whence they started ...to where they sit today. Older and wiser, Simple yet true All that I want now, if I could choose Is to be the kind of father.... a father just like you. Twenties and Thirties were over in a flash. I'm now in my Forties how quickly time has passed Got a job settled down, bought a house and have two kids Tryin' to make ends meet , just like you and Mom did. CHORUS I still have that dream of striking it rich See, I'd still like spoil that wife and those two crazy kids. Buy a Mercedes Benz , But in all Gods truth I'd forfit it all ... If I could be half as good you.
