Story behind the song
Being either celibate or sexually active can and does have drastic effects, whether it’d be physical, mental or emotional. This is mainly due to today’s society and cultural standards as I feel there’s a huge conflict between religious morals and modern pop culture. I decided to take this very sensitive subject matter and write about it from a different point of view. I say different point of view because the only time you ever hear the word “Virgin” mentioned in a rap song is when the rapper’s upset that he can’t get any because “she’s a virgin”. Contrary to popular belief, this is neither a pro nor anti-virgin song although the lyrics might suggest otherwise; it’s basically saying I’m going to make a choice which is best for me and you should leave me alone.
