I am a solo singer/songwriter. My music is mostly soft although my songs could easily be performed in mostly any style.
For me, it's all about the song. That mysteriously magical thing that happens when a lyric is married to a melody. The writing process is invigorating and exciting while simultaneously being exasperating and difficult. It is that moment when music is being composed and a lyric is being written when I am truly the "artist at his easel." The creative process continues when the song is brought into the studio to be recorded because, as in writing, the production and arrangement processes also have their own sets of challenges. Those challenges are always dictated by the song itself and the task at hand at that moment is to be true to the song and carefully craft a recording that reflects what the song is about. Part three, for me, is to then take that song and perform it. It is the purest form of displaying this work of art called a song and is the only place where the magic of the creation is reflected back to me from a room full of interested listeners. And at that moment it is only as magical as the audience makes me believe it is. My CDs are all available on CDBaby.com.

Lyrics
Do you wanna hear some rock and roll? Do you wanna hear some rock and roll? Do you wanna hear some pop and soul? Do you wanna hear a story told? Well maybe, this’ll move your soul Rock and roll is my name Rock and roll is my game And baby, I’m gonna see it through Rock and roll is my name Rock and roll is my game And baby, I’m gonna see it through One day I saw a floating cloud Expanding in the sky B-29’s flew past the sun The newsmen told us why And an oriental lady Had a teardrop in her eye Well the co-pilots went crazy But their comrades were all pleased The enemy was slaughtered And the prisoners were seized When the people thanked the President He sank down to his knees Do you wanna have atomic wars? Do you wanna have atomic wars? For the love of children Please no more For the love of God And life I swore that baby I’d work to end all wars Human kind is my name Having wars is my shame And children, I apologize to you Imperfection is my decree And different as we all may be Let differences no longer cloud my view One day I found a discotheque That played that rock and roll I boogied to the heavy sounds I boogied to the soul And the people all around me thought That I had lost control Well, the manager was called on But he couldn’t do a thing He even stopped the music But I still would dance and sing So deciding it was useless He just let me do my thing Do you wanna hear some rock and roll? Do you wanna hear some rock and roll? Do you wanna hear some pop and soul? Do you wanna hear your story told? Well maybe, this’ll move your soul Rock and roll is my name Rock and roll is my game And baby, I’m gonna see it through Rock and roll is my name Rock and roll is my game And baby, I’m gonna see it through
