An unusually quiet and sad song for me...hopefully I'll upload more typical stuff in a few months when I get done recording it. All instruments are me.

Story behind the song
It's just about the kind of relationship that I think that everyone gets into at least once in their life, usually when you're young. It's the sort of relationship that is a complete negation of one's self; you become convinced that the other person is the most amazing person in the world, and you can't figure out what they see in you. It's love that of another supplemented with self-loathing. The idea behind the arrangement stemmed from the VU's "Heroin", but as a friend pointed out it ended up sounding a lot more like American Analog Set. Hopefully not too much, though. Anyway, it starts out pretty quiet and gets considerably more raucous in the middle. This is intentional, but be careful how high you crank it!
Lyrics
I hang my hopes on you More than you want me to I'm not so enamored of myself I like you so much better Go on and let me down if you don't want me around I'm getting tired of my own face and maybe I'm not the only one I lay my head on you and nothing else gets through love so loud that I can't think I like it so much better
