simple song writing demos, country
No band these days... just a writer recording my own demo's.
Lyrics
I wasn’t looking, I wasn’t knocking on loves’ door
That thing called love eluded me, so many times before.
I wasn’t searching for the fairy-tale, the one that never can come true.
But fate caught me by surprise, ‘cause then came you.
Then came you, when I was lonelier than I had ever been.
Then came you, and you put the sparkle in my eyes again.
I thought I’d been in love before, but I never really knew,
How wonderful my heart could truly feel, Then came you.
It’s amazing, what can change in just a year,
The future was dark and gray, but now it’s crystal clear.
The sun shines brighter, the grass is greener, and the sky’s a brilliant blue
I never dreamed that love could feel this way, then came you.
Then came you, when I was lonelier than I had ever been.
Then came you, and you put the sparkle in my eyes again.
I thought I’d been in love before, but I never really knew,
How wonderful my heart could truly feel, Then came you.
I never thought that beautiful was something I could be
But you’ve made it clear that through your eyes, that’s what you see in me.
Then came you, when I was lonelier than I had ever been.
Then came you, and you put the sparkle in my eyes again.
I thought I’d been in love before, but I never really knew,
How wonderful my heart could truly feel, Then came you.
Another very nice song. I thought the whole thing had a good flow to it, but it was the bridge that stood out the most to me: "I never thought that beautiful was something I could be" line was a great "sum-up" of feelings.
