The Objecks dabble in a wide variety of musical styles, from garage/psychedelia to acoustic folk to New Age to classically influenced pieces.

"Blue Light" was an experiment using an open C tuned guitar and playing an Indian influenced scale like George Harrison's "The Inner Light" and "Within You Without You."
While experimenting with open C tuning, I also came up with "Ancient Wisdom." I considered adding lyrics from the "Tao Te Ching" (like "The Inner Light"), then decided I liked it better as an instrumental.
"Kanonz" was an experiment with pentatonic scales and the general structure of a canon (a "Row Row Row Your Boat" kind of thing where different instruments play the same musical passage one after another). I couldn't resist the ending pun.
Lyrics
part one: Blue Light
In the room the floors were stone
Floors were stone, hard cold stone
Didn't make a happy home
Happy home, all alone
Sitting on a dirty chair
Dirty chair and everywhere
Blue light came to greet me there
Greet me there, the blue light came
Blue light came all at once
And I knew all at once
Every thing is very small
Blue light seems to conquer all
And the sand began to fall
Sand is small, covers all
My eyes closed and it was dark
It was dark, so very dark
Blue light came to save me there
Blue light came everywhere
The world became a brighter place
Brighter place, pretty lace
Blue light came all at once
And I knew all at once
Every thing is very small
Blue light seems to conquer all
Blue light came all at once
And I knew all at once
Every thing is very small
Blue light seems to conquer all
And that day all was done
And that day all was done
And that day all was done
And that day all was done
