Story behind the song
The message of Swept Away is basically this: “Jesus, You are so precious, there is none like You, and a relationship with You is priceless. I want to fall in love with You.” This is a song about who God is, thanking and praising Him for His goodness and faithful love. It’s about letting go in surrender to His love, and being swept away by His love. Psalm 42:8 “By day the Lord directs His love, at night His song is with me.”
Lyrics
