The Tom Travis Bluegrass incident: A band comprising Tom Travis- lead vocal/guitar; Bill Forster - 5 string banjo; bob Winquist - fiddle; dave howard - mandolin
Tom Travis and the Bluegrass Incident Tom Travis is a UK bluegrass music pioneer. During his forty-years-plus in the music, Tom has been involved in all its aspects including success in the Tom & Smiley duo throughout the 1960's, with large international album sales; regular radio and TV appearances; extensive touring and a long period in charge of the Edale Bluegrass Festival, the largest of its type outside America. In addition to the popular BBC Radio 2 series Bluegrass Ramble, Tom has also written and presented other features on bluegrass music for that same station. Tom is a founder member of the British Bluegrass Music Association and served as its Chairman for six years. He has performed on stage with many top American bluegrass stars, is a songwriter and currently performs and records with his band "The Bluegrass Incident". A track from their latest Album A Small Patch of Blue, on the Proper Label, has recently made No1 in two European Radio Top 40 Charts. The musicians in Tom’s band are acknowledged as some of the best in bluegrass, so anyone into virtuoso banjo, fiddle and mandolin, with high lonesome singing is in for a treat. America’s Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine said of Tom’s new album, ‘A Small Patch of Blue,’ “the instrumental work is flawless; it’s truly original and a goldmine of entertainment.”

Story behind the song
The inpiration for this came from my all-time favourite Bill Monroe album, "A Voice From On High". That great pairing of Monroe and Martin. Bluegrass gospel does not come any better than that.
Lyrics
A Room For Jesus Words and music by Tom Travis Make your home in me, as I make mine in you So said my Saviour and I know it’s true I’ll make a home in my heart where He can reside, He’ll make a home for me on the other side. If there’s a room in your heart for Jesus There’s a room in heaven for you Throw out envy, throw out greed, These are the things you ain’t never gonna need. Polish up that room and make it shine, Make a space for some bread. Make a space for some wine. If there’s a room in your heart for Jesus There’s a room in heaven for you. Clean out that room, make it glow within, Leave no space for no evil or sin, Make it so clean, you could eat off the floor, `Cos it’s your way to a heavenly door. If there’s a room in your heart for Jesus There’s a room in heaven for you. Get out the bucket, get out the broom, Get down on your knees and prepare that room. Open up the windows let His light shine through, to light up every corner, like His love will do If there’s a room in your heart for Jesus There’s a room in heaven for you.
