Story behind the song
"Psalm 139" was the very first song my wife and I wrote together. If we could really get a hold of how much love God has for us it would move us. It would overwhelm us. It would change us. We all have this in common: we were all created by the same Person, for the same Person. Why do we forget? We have been reckless, treacherous and unfaithful toward him, yet he graciously woos us back to himself. Forgiving us. Restoring us. He thinks of you more than can be counted. One of my favorite lines is, “holding me as tight as you dare”. He desperately wants us, longs for us, desires to hold us, and to defend us! Yet Jesus will not impose Himself upon us… He is in fact as involved in our lives as we have allowed him to be. Let His love move you back into his care. (Daniel, Catherine)
