Story behind the song
There are many attitudes or approaches in playing or studying music. A rational and lucid way and another instinctive; a way is reading a score, another one is improvising; a way is playing by ear remembering a song, another is letting the sounds, which are inside of our emotions in that particular moment, voice.
They are all fine, deep and nice but what I prefer is playing concentrating on myself, on my emotions or inner vibrations and let them voice without filters, touching the piano keys and singing freely.
What’s vibrating inside of me is so translated in sounds.
That is playing with my soul.
The song has a soul feeling, with a 12/8 tempo. The intro only starts with the voice followed by the string orchestra. The central bridge, where the bass enters, is longer than usual and it precedes the chorus where the strings move in background.
The electric piano insists so much on the upbeat, while in the middle eight the voice is only accompanied with the drums.
In the melody , a frequent use of imitation, above all in the chorus, comes out.
The song ends with a rhythmic unisonous break.
Lyrics
When I begin to rise
I close my eyes
when I start to lose control
I open my mind
I follow a direction
Hearing my heart beating so hard
I focus my feeling on a magic sensation
Feeling my soul on his guard
So I lose, I lose my reason
Looking myself
Playing myself
And so I live, I live my season
Into a world beating so hard
Body and soul
Body and soul
Vibrating
Vibrating
Together with my self….
Space and time are illusion
joy and happiness are a fusion
Chorus
Myself plays with sounds
Like a child with his favourite clowns
I want to open this magic door
More and more
My heart beats under my shirt
Like a synchronized drum concert
I want to open this magic door
More and more, more and more
Chorus
