Today I would say that Im more of a songwriter than a performer, although I do sing with a sixties rock and roll band in Denmark where I have been living since 1985. I was born i London but grew up in Lancashire somewhere between Liverpool and Manchester. I served my apprenticeship as a musician/singer in the Working Mens Clubs of Britain. Later I had a humble success with a band called Silhouette which involved touring the most of western Europe. Today I live with my wonderful wife, Trine on the island of Sjælland in Denmark (about an hours drive from Copenhagen) Please listen to my and feel free to comment.

Story behind the song
Map makers in times gone by would sometimes reach a point in their journey where they could go no futher for some reason. To prohibit others from travelling futher than they had, they would simply write on their drawings that "Beyond this point there are dragons". I thought that this was an appealing idea so I used it to write a song about a divorce or a break up of a partnership. Dale Kawashima from Songwriters Universe, Los Angeles, said about this song: "This is an unique story song, with an interesting theme. You are a songwriter who likes to create stories and put yourself as the voice of the stories (Randy Newman does this very well), rather than simply sing songs in an autobiographic manner. Writing story songs such as this is creative. Musically, you´ve got some solid instrumental tracks here and the guitar solo is excellent." Richard Jay from The Music Broker Network, said about this song: "The title is one of the more bizarre ones I´ve seen in a while!......"
Lyrics
(Lyrics & Music by Andy Goggin - December 2004) ©Copyright 2004 Andy Goggin (ISA02) SUNG BY LARS NIELSEN PRODUCED BY OLE BERG Don’t you think that we’ve travelled far enough? Shouldn’t we set up camp and try to make some rules? For the path we travel is starting to get rough And to carry on would be the choice of fools. The fog’s been coming down for quite some time And I really don’t know if it’s night or day. Let us rest our weary heads and try to find A clearer sky to help us find the way. For beyond this point there are dragons And demons from the past we left behind There are nightmares pulling ghostly wagons And these awful sights would surely make us blind Don’t you think it’s time to climb down from this mountain? You know the view from here is really not too good The air is far too thin for all this shouting I’m afraid I can’t protect you like I should. For beyond this point there are dragons And demons from the past we left behind There are nightmares pulling ghostly wagons And these awful sights would surely make us blind Yes these awful sights would surely make us blind
