"Joe Huettner makes the world a better place" - Jess Blasko, Ithaca, New York Originally from a small farm in South Central Pennsylvania, JOE HUETTNER's pursuits in music led him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he plans to major in Songwriting. “I don't think people want to hear about sadness all the time, and that seems to be a majority of the songs on the radio now,” says Huettner. “I want to get some happiness out there, but without sacrificing musical quality. However, if a sad song is written, I won't hesitate to let people hear it. Unless it sucks." As well as Songwriting, Joe's interests include playing the electric bass, reading up on Roman history, and being a diehard fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Story behind the song
"This song started as an educational tune. I was asked to perform at Environmental Camp for my old elementary school, and I thought I'd try and write some songs from the point of view of bugs, and teach them about insects. Well, the plan didn't work due to writer's block, but I got one good song out of it, about the caterpillar. And it works as a song on its own - it never gets into scientific details about bugs or anything like that - it could just be seen as an uplifting song. I love it; the bridge especially is a nice ride." J.G.H.
Lyrics
Crawlin' around on this earth Just doin' my best to get by And nobody here really knows what I'm worth If only they'd take time to meet me, they'd see what's inside And they'd see why this life doesn't faze me I know it sounds crazy, but Chorus: One day I'll fly Flutter on by all my troubles and leave all my worries behind I'll show them I'm strong I'll prove them all wrong and climb higher One day I'll fly I go through life slowly, it's true, But I know what I'm put here to do I'm here to take in anything that I can When my time comes to rise up, I'll put all that knowledge to use And I'll go in a brand new direction I'll make an impression (Chorus) ...one day I'll fly, Oh, yes, I'll fly All my life will be in place My mistakes will be erased There'll be nothing in my way No walls to climb, nothing but blue skies (Chorus) --- Joe: Piano, Vocals
