I bring songs about love, spirit, sustainability, family, fun, peace, freedom and Aloha.
Aloha, I moved to Maui from the West Coast of California in 1974. Traveled the world. Played in clubs and bars, at camp fires and festivals, on boats and trains, in living rooms and parties and main stage for 10,000 people. Still going strong. I write songs about life, love and the pursuit of nothing-ness. We all need each other to make life work. The latest CD was recorded in the jungle on Maui with solar power. Stream on Spotify, Pandora, iTunes and ReverbNation. Cd's available. Be kind. Michael Sky: Vocals, guitars, mandolin, bass, harmonica.

Story behind the song
Michael Sky: vocals and guitar, Ricky Moore (Circle of Friends): drums, Joel Kelly: harmony vocals, and Misanthropy from England on bass. This song was originally uploaded at Songplanet.com as a solo acoustic. Joel Kelly, Misanthropy and Ricky Moore each emailed me separately and asked if I minded them adding a track to see how it sounds.
Lyrics
In one hand there's a bible and the other hand a gun. Killing in the name of God keep terror on the run. Ask yourself the question "What would Jesus do". He'd say Father please forgive them for they know not what they do. It's all about forgiveness to turn the other cheek, How many more will die for the bloody oil that you seek, 300 hundred billion dollars have been spent to buy a war, Instead of feeding hungry children for a hundred years or more. The Christians and the Atheists, the Muslems and the Jews, Fighting in some holy war that everyone will lose. In one hand there's a bible but you'd better drop your guns, because "Love is all you need" ya know, to dance beneath the sun.
