Story behind the song
Bryce, our son, wrote a musical and wanted to record some of the songs. We ended up using a mid/side pair of large diaphragm mics, and just added the bass on a subsequent take.
It worked well actually. They move around quite a bit and the dynamic range of this kind of singing is quite diverse.
