A self-explanatory song erupting from the tumult of the cries of many...that same plea
I am a simple musician finding ways to be heard...so here is the first, maybe first of concern. If anything I hate the bland monotony of some of the popular bands' lyrics and even music...so I tend to attempt to redefine what is to be heard.
Story behind the song
This song is pretty much about an odd situation that I forever bear the scars to...odd as they may seem. A good friend of mine got up to speak at this little devotional at my church and he started reading this poem he wrote called, "Gossip" my version is a bit more vengeant than his was, but the only thing in common was the subject...somewhat. Yet his words related exactly to something I've known from the ones I've trusted too well about me at that moment. His poem felt like a documentary of the past two years of my life, being read back to me with I would say, but never had the guts to...just yet. The story is that there is this one girl who sees this interest I had in her, toys with those strengthening feelings(exactly at the moment the greatest burden of loneliness sat on my back), and then spread the gossip of my reactions behind a cage of painful attachment, reaching for the things I no longer just wanted, but needed...a simple friend. She ends up toying with every other boy right in front of my face, shoving it in with all her might under a massive sign screaming to those around her, "I'm the victim! He's the weirdo!" The words exchanged flying ear-to-ear had effects even two years later...as at the place I can call my second home...I find no warmth amongst those several few involved. The grudge and indignation sustained in the song are not as vivid now...for I feel they don't have much of a purpose...they can't accomplish anything. The story plays on...but through different eyes that see it. On...and on...and on.
