Core Northwest (CNW) formed as a fun stress-free effort in the realm of hip hop by Pauleywood and K-Mak D. Over the years we have had fun with it, done some nifty production (at least we think so, though it prolly sucks), and butchered our words over mics for everyone to enjoy. Story behind the song
Tarik from DF Empire asked me to remix a few of his songs so I started working on beats for the project. I actually did the beat before I had heard the original song or got the accapella from him. I had original intended this for a very mellow rhodes-heavy beat. After I had problems setting the mood with the other beat, I turned to this one as sort of an afterthought. This is the proposed instrumental version. When I listen to this I think of some early Jay Dee junk and stuff. All in all i'm pretty happy with it.
