Story behind the song
The puzzle comes for everyone… Pieces in our hearts cave in, Succumb to fascination, succumb to your elation… Just a whisper from a dream… A drink of water from a poison stream…
Lyrics
The riddle Looking at the world through flying saucer eyes In the bright glow of the city… Searching for the one with the inside shine Unravel the riddle… On a desert highway to the picture show – Oh sleepy head, to dreams we wed Upon the slumbered night, neath twisted branch And Christmas lights… Chorus: Here is the code, unravel the riddle Oh, the riddle, you’ll find your riddle… The puzzle comes for everyone… Pieces in our hearts cave in, Succumb to fascination, succumb to your elation… Just a whisper from a dream… A drink of water from a poison stream… Chorus: All your words might disappear, Solitude for a hundred years, What is the sound in between your ears? What will become of your endeavors? How will we hold the pieces together? Taking time to dream beneath the drunken sky… Satellite floats in outer space just for a while… We hold the course and weather the storm and sacrifice the little we own, a million lives are intertwined in complex times I know…
