funky and emotional IDM
I've been making music since I was about 15 years old. I started out making cheap techno with my friend Rolle in a band we dubbed "the Inanimate Youth". After recording about 3 or 4 songs under that moniker, I decided to go solo and joined forces with the Briokids based out of Houston. the Briokids were and pretty much remain a haven for breakcore artists like ickOO, VirusB23, and Trash. I was (and once again pretty much remain) the sole "IDM" artist that had ever joined the group. I guess those couch-burning freaks scared off all the computer nerds with their displays of drunken violence - but not me!. After releasing theWARD (october 19, 2001) I joined with ickOO to remake classic episodes of the odd couple and capture them on beefy computer audio format ... the result was SubTex (pronounced sub-tech and short for suburban Texas youth) a zany experimental ride into the oddities of breakcore and funk, and the MTV generation's answer to MTV. SubTex remains a staple of Brio quality and every sample, I can assure you, is placed carefully to extract the perfect amount of funkiness.
