This song was written for and about my wife, Heather. She's my anchor and no one has ever loved me like she does.

Dale Haywood is a singer/songwriter from Colora, Maryland. After several cover bands and years of live gigs Dale decided to attempt recording his own songs. With the help of several friends, Dale has recorded a large catalogue of original music. His music covers everything from Country to Blues to Rock, but all of it has a heavy southern influence. Most of the recordings were created in his home studio and none of them would have been possible without the generosity and creativity of some very talented friends. Dale continues to write, record, and occasionally perform his music whenever given the opportunity.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song on a Thursday night. Between Friday and the following Wednesday, we collected all the tracks for it. It is one of my favorites and was one of the easiest songs we've ever recorded.
Lyrics
I Found You I’ve lived … without love I’ve done some things that I’m not proud of I’ve been knocked down and I’ve had to crawl But I’ve picked myself back up and I’m standin’ tall Been lookin’ for a future, tryin’ to forget my past Lookin’ for a love that’s gonna last … And I found you Oooo, I found you Never had anything to live for… nothin’ to lose I’ve wandered this world recklessly without a clue Never been able to walk a straight line In the shadows of death is where I’ve spent most my time But these dark clouds are breakin’ up, the sun’s shinin’ through Ain’t lost anymore, now that I’ve found you I found you Oooo, I found you -SOLO- I thought I’d lived … before your love But now I know what true love is made of No more lonely nights searchin’ for an end I can’t wait to wake up to you again No more lookin’ in all the wrong places No more searchin’ through all the empty faces I’ve found a love I know is true All the searchin’ was over when I found you Oooo, I found you
