Story behind the song
I love dancing so much, but this song is about a girl that when I see her dancing it hypnotized me. And the only way she could dance any better was with me. Those moments are far too rare.
Lyrics
You Dance the Best with me. Well I've seen them all come. And I know you've watched them all go. And you don't know what to do Anymore.... You don't want them to say goodbye. They all leave in the end and you don't know why. Makes you wonder why you even try. But you dance the best with me. You don't even know what you mean. You twirl around you dance it so slow. But you don't know. I know there’s sun shiny days. But I wonder when they will shine my way. The darkness falls on me like night. And I wonder when I will see the light. You dance the best with me. But you don't even know what you mean. You twirl around you dance it so slow. But I know. (solo) Well I can't wait for the band to start to play. So I can look into your eyes and say. May I have this dance just one more time? And after that maybe you'll be mine. Cause you dance the best with me. And you don't even know what you mean, to me. You twirl around you dance it so slow now you know. You dance the best with me, baby. Now I'm hoping that maybe, you'll be. Twirling around dancing so slow, with me. And we'll be.... maybe we'll be.... baby we can be... Daryl Young
