Though we'd been going out awhile
I didn't know much about her past
but she was shy and beautiful
and I was afraid to ask
still I doubted she was blonde
or from Dixie like she claimed
so I sat down at my pc
and typed in my baby's name

she'd payed her way through college
by always being on call
I was gonna say goodbye
but was glad I changed my mind
cos my baby taught me things
