Guitar/Vocal performed by Chesty Frank
Hello there, my name is Chesty Frank and I reside in Virginia where I am a high school teacher. I have been playing small solo gigs for a little while and got tired of playing other people's music, so I decided to start writing my own. I started studying the craft of songwriting during the summer of 2004 and learning from other song writers and looking at hit songs, to try and figure out just why they are hits. My goal at this stage of the game is to concentrate on my craft and continue to improve and write stronger songs. The ultimate goal: to someday hear a hit artist sing a song I wrote. To me you just can't put a price tag on the feeling that would result from such a honor. Being new to this side of the industry, my accomplishments thus far include: meeting some really good people who have helped me greatly and winning a Nashville based song contest in June of this year. So for now, I will press on and continue to gain as much knowledge about songwriting as I can. My contact info it at the bottom. Enjoy your stay, Peace thru music, Chesty (703)915-0747 TheCFrankBand@aol.com Other songs at: http://www.soundclick.com/chestyfrank

Lyrics
You Sat With Me © Chesty Frank September 2005 V1 There’s an old cedar bench On my front porch And it looks out to the west That’s where we would sit Oh I remember it We’d always watch the sun set Chorus But there’ll never be an empty seat next to me I’ve got too many sweet memories Spending time with you has made my life complete I’m glad you sat with me V2 Snuggled up on the couch Is where we use to lounge And I’d read stories to you You were daddy’s little girl Living in my lonely world Since mommy passed when you were two Repeat Chorus Bridge Well I watched you crawl and I watched you walk I was amazed when you started to talk And here we are walking down the isle I’ll give you away with a tear and a smile And outside the church you sit with me and say Repeat chorus Tag There’s an old cedar bench on my front porch
