Krizmaniac: Started off in the mid 70's, as Blue Velvet. Played parties, School dances and their favorite, the Lockport, IL Moose lodge. Although not old enough to drive, they even played a wedding reception for some members of the Outlaw's motorcycle club. The party was a blast, but the highlight was the look on one Mom's face when she came to pick the underage musicians up after the gig. During the early years, a handful of other players cycled through the group, namely: Scott Smith, Patti Pruiett, Chris Lynch, Ben McCarter, and Danny Smolich. In 1980 the band relocated to Maryland. At that point the final lineup was set. Jeff Skelnik - Bass Guitar John Skelnik - Drums Bruce Pruiett - Guitar, voc While sharing a house in a formally quiet neighborhood. The boys went about writing songs and perfecting their sound. They played anywhere they could, and attracted much attention. One of the most interesting, was a guy who claimed to be Lynyrd Skynyrd's manager, and the author of "congunction Junction". He said he would take the boy's to New York to meet the head of MCA at 2am. I'd love to tell you that they didn't go, but... The next step was some airplay on 98 rock WIYY in Baltimore. This attracted the attention of a legitimate record producer. The only problem was the radio station gave him Bruce's telephone number. Bruce who grew up on ZZ Top and Black Sabbath. Was no fan of the state of the record industry in the early eighties. He had decided that he would rather play for free, then to ever dress up like the bands on MTV. So I Imagine his response was something like this. "We don't wear earings and we don't have tattoo's. We don't wear high heels, we wear tennis Shoe's. Don't dress like women, but you can just bet. Thats the reason, we aint made it yet" To be continued......

Lyrics
I know a place to go, where The birds and flowers grow There looking alright Looking alright to me I met a girl down there She had long golden hair She was looking alright looking alright to me You're a woman Im a man I wish you'd try to understand I just want everyone to know I found a place where flowers grow There came a time in my life It's time to take a wife And Im feeling alright Feeling alright to me Explain my love I can't start She filled a hole in my heart And Im feeling alright Feeling alright to me You're a woman Im a man I wish you'd try to understand I just want everyone to know I found a place where flowers grow You're a woman Im a man I wish you'd try to understand I just want everyone to know I found a place where flowers grow
