Story behind the song
I started writing this song on night after a wedding. My first love/crush was there and I just couldn't bring myself to try to talk to her. It was that night I realized I would never be able to. So I came home and wrote the last stanza of the song. It was one of those things that just flowed out. The first stanza came from Chip. He had written a poem for a girl I knew. He was such a womanizer and none of them ever seemed to catch on to it. I wrote the second stanza about that girl and him. I put them all together and made this song. Actually, they all work well for the original idea so it is really about one person when you listen to it.
