Story behind the song
It is based on David saying 'How long will you hide your face from me. How long must I wrestle with my thoughts. Even when it seems like God has turned away, he's always there. He allows things to shape our character but he will never leave us or forsake us. (At the time of writing this song I was not married. the reference is a faith statement claiming the victory in faith of something that is yet to come. The term 'Intercede' is used to also indicate that God must have already interceded in her life though the cross. It has also turned out to be a propetic song. Through hardship and trial God shapes us and refines us so we can grow and be better prepared for him to serve him. Even when we make mistakes, he shows them to us so we can learn from them.)David gives us a key to going through a wilderness in Psalm 13. That is to remember the victories God has given you. Trust in his unfailing live and rejoice in your salvation. "for he has been so good to me".
