Story behind the song
Janet is having major surgery and she will have to be put under anesthesia the television is on the history channel and there is a documentary on about the cold war. She is anxious about the surgery and especially the anesthesia. This tune is a creation of my imagination and how it might take place in sound. I found the civil defense recording on the internet. It was originally recorded in the 1960's and updated in the 1980's. I liked the reference to "inner refuge" - I thought it was kind of ironic in this context. Give it a listen and see what you think.
