"Joe Huettner makes the world a better place" - Jess Blasko, Ithaca, New York Originally from a small farm in South Central Pennsylvania, JOE HUETTNER's pursuits in music led him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he plans to major in Songwriting. “I don't think people want to hear about sadness all the time, and that seems to be a majority of the songs on the radio now,” says Huettner. “I want to get some happiness out there, but without sacrificing musical quality. However, if a sad song is written, I won't hesitate to let people hear it. Unless it sucks." As well as Songwriting, Joe's interests include playing the electric bass, reading up on Roman history, and being a diehard fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Story behind the song
"I think that this is the best vocal performance I've ever recorded." - J.G.H.
Lyrics
The sunny horizon is fading away Beginning the end of a typical day I am alone now - another long evening's begun Here in the shadows, I open my mind All of my memories start to unwind Countless emotions that cannot survive in the sun But it's so serene And the future remains to be seen So why should I bother with all of these problems of mine? Chorus: Your smile awakens a light that had gone from my eyes And I know that the sun will arise And tomorrow will be a new day And the darkness will fade just as sure and as fast as it fell I'll see Heaven shed light on this hell And tomorrow will be a new day Reeling from images flooding my eyes Tomorrow's uncertainty, yesterdays lies I try to make sense of the dark that has shrouded my soul Slowly I turn toward the warmth of your face Finding some calm in a lover's embrace Still no idea where my actions are leading at all But the night is young And there's so many songs to be sung So tell me, my friend, why should anything more bring me down? (Repeat Chorus) ---- Joe Huettner: Upright Bass, Vocals Ben Wenk: Acoustic Guitar Mike Orner: Drums, Tambourine
